The One Co Cheshire - The UK’s first Refillable Candle Company. I started the One Co Cheshire 4 years with no real clue as to where it was heading, all I knew is I had created a scent to help people sleep and I loved candles, so it made sense to put them together. Not long after starting my business, It dawned on me the amount of candle jars customers must go through, especially our loyal returning customers. This got me thinking, before long I was down a rabbit hole researching everything there is to know about candles and their impact on the environment. I was shocked with what I found. It was the start of 2020 and there wasn’t a single UK candle company offering a solution to this problem. Worse, no1 seemed to think it was a problem. So that’s where we came. In May 2020 (it would have been sooner if not for COVID) we launched our candle refills and to say they did well was an understatement. So much so I made the decision to rebrand my small business The Refillable Candle Company. Since then we’ve reduced the amount of candle jars going into landfill by the 1000’s. Our Refillable Candles are designed to last a lifetime, with one jar, offering a lifetime of scents. We then launched our Refillable Candle Subscriptions which offers an easybalance between a cosy home filled with gorgeous scents and also reducing any impact on the environment, and saving money on one-use candle jars. Ava Mayfair is our new home fragrance product range which is a part of the Ava May Aromas brand. We have released a product range including Candle / Wax Melts / Room Spray / Reed Diffuser / Aroma Oil - which is Fairtrade certified. We are the first home fragrance brand in the world to receive this accreditation which we are incredibly proud of. Furthermore the Ava Mayfair fragrances within these products are 100% natural. We've worked hard to create a range that not only improves the wellbeing of the consumer but also the producer at the other end of the chain. By using Fairtrade coconut oil, the farmers in Sri Lanka are able to ultimately create a better life for themselves and the communities around them. The Fairtrade association for one area has formed a 'Co-Operative' style group which funds initiatives for the local area. From building roads to renovating schools the good that comes from a fairer and more transparent supply chain are clear to see. We visited Sri Lanka ourselves in April 2023 to see the factory, conditions and meet the farmers for ourselves and feel passionately about helping the Sri Lankan farmers and communities. Some examples of projects the Fairtrade Farmers Association have funded include 1. A school building renovation which cost 1.2 million LKR - which benefits 600 pupils and all future generations too - this was completed in March 2023. 2. A donation of 100,000 RS to one family/farmer whos child was hospitalised with severe kidney disease - the family could not afford treatment (A kidney transplant) and so the association stepped in. The child is now recovered and doing well. It's safe to say the producers of fairtrade ingredients benefit hugely from ethical consumer chains.

Our business model is unique amongst the cleaning products sector which sells mostly in supermarkets or online. Our main route to market is through brand ambassadors. because our mission is the societal responsibility where we work with our brand ambassadors in their local communities. To date we have over 370 brand ambassadors representing their local communities , helping people understand more about how to clean in a more environmentally friendly way but also providing people across the country with equal opportunity and making an extra income by promoting and selling products that are good for the environment. We’re creating a nationwide network of individuals who feel deeply that the problems we face relating to cleaning products are closely linked to deeper problems relating to the ways that our societies are manipulated by big businesses with little or no interest in the impact that their products have on our communities or on society in general. Our brand ambassadors' sales approach is firstly through educating their customers about the importance of creating healthy homes. The strength of television advertising has never been stronger, with vast marketing budgets seducing viewers but the impact of climate change is leading many of us to ask if there is a better way, whether that’s related to CO2, single use plastics, toxic chemicals or anything else that has a negative impact in general. Why us?

I'm a believer that the most sustainable pieces are already in circulation, and by having me as a stylist, my clients are also contributing to making a difference for the planet. As a Sustainable Stylist, I collaborate with my clients to refresh and enhance their current wardrobe utilizing the garments that they hold dear and that make them feel confident. However, my approach differs from conventional fashion stylists as my focus revolves around sustainable and slow fashion and how they can be incorporated into one's wardrobe. You won't catch me taking my clients on a shopping spree; instead, I'll employ their existing pieces to create new outfits, and if something is missing, I'll always source it from pre-loved collections. My vision is to improve women’s experience in all walks of life, by giving back to our communities and women less fortunate. Alongside this, Fine-Tuned Wardrobe will strive to create a more sustainable fashion. I developed the ‘Giving Back’ initiative so I can support women in need as part of Fine-tuned wardrobe. By enabling clients to let go of items they no longer need or want, I have donated over 1,700 items of clothes, shoes and bags to charities, preventing them from going to landfill. I chose to work directly with each charity - like women's shelters and the homeless- because I wanted to ensure they reach the people who need them. Sending items to charity shops is a quick and easy solution, but pieces are not always sold, and could still end up in landfill. I have found clients are pleased to know what is happening to their rejected clothes, some of which they have an emotional attachment to. What I offer as FINE-TUNED WARDROBE is so much more than a styling service.

Vamoosh has recently partnered with Support Dogs which is a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults with various challenging medical conditions. they provide, train and support specialist assistance dogs to achieve this. Support Dogs specialise in three specific programmes: Autism assistance dogs for autistic children. The dogs are trained to provide safety for the child and reduce stress in social environments. Seizure alert dogs for people with epilepsy. Dogs are trained to provide a 100% reliable, potentially life saving alert up to 1 hour before an epileptic seizure. This enables the client to find safety and be in control over their seizure, allowing a much more independent life. Disability assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities. The client’s own pet dog is trained to perform tasks which are specifically tailored to their individual needs, providing them with greater independence and safety. Personally, when I joined the team this charity was really important to me as i have autistic siblings. my youngest brother was non verbal until we got our dog which brought out all of his confidence and amazing qualities. As its also a Sheffield company and we are based in Barnsley it means we can get together for lovely event such as puppy graduation and summer bbqs to support volunteers. We will be there with a support dog at our stand at the clean and tidy show to raise awareness and all money made will be given straight to the charity.

From ecoegg’s creation 15 years ago, our Founder Dawn, established the core principle of delivering an environmentally sustainable and affordable laundry solution accessible to all. Dawn’s love for the environment and her experience with eczema growing up led her to the revelation it was harsh chemicals and strong perfume in laundry detergents causing her skin to react. She also first-hand experienced the sheer amounts of plastic debris scuba diving during her early twenties, which consolidated her mission to find a sustainable solution to the world’s plastic problem. By switching to a Laundry Egg, you could eliminate up to 40 plastic bottles per year from your household. Refillable detergent pellets are housed in a reusable egg case, meaning there is less waste from consumers not recycling. Our everyday Laundry Egg costs 14 pence per wash and 10 pence when you buy the Refill Pellets. To put it into perspective, Ariel Detergent Pods work out at over double the cost of this – costing 28p per wash. (Calculations based on 28/6/23 from Tesco at 29 wash box size). A few years ago, whilst volunteering in a charity shop, Charlotte (Founder) noticed the amount of soft toys that they were receiving. These items, which often held great memories and sentimental value, were being thrown onto a pile and often sold as dog toys (or even worse, into the bin!). She witnessed how the love, and the life and the stories were lost and forgotten, just like that. Digging further, Charlotte discovered just how many millions of soft toys were ending up in landfill and decided that something must be done. And so Loved Before was born! When people are ready to pass on their soft toys, they can send them into Loved Before where they undergo a thorough examination, deep clean and rejuvenation process in Loved Before’s celebrated 'Spa'. Donors are encouraged to send their toys in with a note giving their names, and whatever information they want to share about the toy’s history or personality. Loved Before makes sure this important information goes with them, on the individualised card they attach to each toy. Loved Before believes that through challenging our perceptions of pre-owned objects, we can show that instead of losing value, a toy once loved is made even more valuable by the love and life it has already experienced. Wheelie Klips Limited have developed a new brand of solutions to help solve the problem of unhealthy waste disposal in the light of reducing local council support and responsibility. We have designed and sell a range of accessories for the household wheelie bin market, primarily for 240 litre bins along with 180 litre and 120 litre bins. These products are all manufactured in the UK. The solutions involve the end user clipping a bin liner in place hence keeping their wheelie bins clean and fresh. We offer an alternative solution to that of using a jet wash to clean wheelie bins. We sell a range of clips, fragrances, bags, and safety awareness stickers. Furthermore, to deter flies from entering wheelie bins we have a spray bottle that sits inside the bin in one of our clips and is applied within the bin cavity and stops the owner having that horrible experience of maggots in their bin. The spray has been scientifically proven to deter flies. There is no other solution like this on the market and our liners are probably the strongest available in the UK. We sell no single use plastic products. Using our solution could save over 52% of plastic going into landfill. Our products are branded around two clip types: Klip n Fresh, Klip n Bag with a replenishment fragrance bottle Klip n Spray and a roll of 12 extra strong and large bags Klip Bags. Both clips have a UK patent (GB2553841) design which comprises of a double step/shelf which enables them to be clipped onto the outer rim on the sides of the wheelie bin over the liner. This is achieved with ease; no need for any tools just a small amount of pressure to push them onto the wheelie bin.

Whilst helping them to donate their unwanted clothes to the homeless or women shelters. I wanted to create a business that empowers women to dress for success in clothes that are already in circulation. As women we are often at the bottom of the list when it comes to making time for ourselves, this results in wardrobes full of clothes that don't reflect the women we are today. With my services I help women let go of the clutter that no longer serves them and only keep what they love and will wear. Letting go of clothes is easy because they know they will be passed on to other women that are less fortunate I donate clothes that are no longer needed to the homeless or women's shelters on my client’s behalf anything that is in a sellable condition I sell it on form them and anything not sellable I take it to fabric banks. Everything is recycled, nothing is wasted keeping clothes out of landfill. I leave my clients with the wardrobe that they have been longing for organised and with systems in place that will help them maintain them. I also leave them with the tools and the know-how on how to be more creative with the clothes they already own. As well as making money from the items that are in a sellable condition any items that they need are always found perloved first. MORE TO Organising is a service and a book that organises rooms and routines with children in mind! Children are at the heart of my business. I had Interiors Therapy for five years and started to apply what I learnt to my nanny families’ houses. I saw how the children started thriving and how it made life easier for the parents. With a masters in Education and years of experience as a teacher and a Nanny, I know family routines and optimise their homes to make life run more smoothly. I add in child friendly organisation systems to enhance child development and add in organic reading and writing opportunities. In 2023, More to Organising branched out into nurseries, giving workshops on ‘enabling environments’ and organising store rooms. I have also given workshops at the Childcare and Education Expo and the International Nanny Training day on how Organising with children in mind can build self-esteem, encourage resilience and the difference between providing a risk taking environment versus one that wraps our children in cotton wool. I also teach the importance of providing books, resources, toys, computer games and television programmes with diversity: age, race, culture, gender, sexuality and religion and why. My third book is ‘More to Mealtimes- how to help your child learn almost everything in the kitchen and make mealtimes easier’ which encourages life skills and a balanced approach to food by organising in the kitchen. I am the Childcare Expert who brings learning to life by organising using the Early Years Foundation Stage. Viewers want to see space, so decluttering and organising each space is crucial. I often work with people who are downsizing, and also those who aren’t moving but dream of having calm, organised rooms. Since launching in late 2019 I've won national occupied home staging awards (House Wow Awards 2022, 2023) and been a finalist in the Staged4more International Home Staging Awards 2022 and the Home Staging Association Awards 2021.

Its founder Katherine Blackler is UK’s first CPO® Certified Professional Organizer and the immediate Past President of APDO Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers. Having set up Sorted! in 2016, Sian has done over 1000 appointments and supported over 200 people physically within their homes. Additionally she’s reached more than that virtually through her Facebook group and social media posts. Sian’s brand emulates her personality with her noticeable trademark headband, clean but bright and inviting website and her calm, positive and nonjudgmental personality. Sian originally set up business to support SMEs with not just their working environments but also their systems to enable them to be able to grow more productively and efficiently having successfully run two businesses previously. She quickly moved more into the residential arena as more and more clients requested her help. Sian is a firm believer that you’re always learning and no client is ever the same as another and so is continuously looking at ways to further expand on her knowledge and expertise to support others by attending conferences, both here and internationally, as well as additional training. While Sian works with anyone who has a need, more recently she has been working particularly with the elderly downsizing and those who are neurodiverse. Having a neurodiverse son, Sian understands the need to be patient and considerate in her thought process and responses whilst providing practical and workable solutions to those she’s working with. Sian is also a member of APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers) and stepped onto the board initially as Conference Director in 2020 and now as current President since September 2022. Sian’s goal is to inspire, motive, declutter and organise as many lives and businesses as possible.
